About Maenam

Maenam Beach is located on the northern coast of Koh Samui, with Bophut Beach two kilometers to the east and Bang Por Beach to the west. From Maenam, one can see Koh Phangan Island across the channel and there is a pier from which one may travel to and from Koh Phangan, Koh Tao and the Angthong National Marine Park.

The beach itself, four kilometers in length and yellow sanded, is considered one of the prettiest and quietest on the island. The road which rings Koh Samui runs relatively close to Maenam, but does not intrude, neither visually or in terms of noise. The waters are shallow for long durations on many parts of the beach, and are clean and calm, although in November and December the wind surfing is excellent. 

Accomodation is still very reasonable in Maenam, with many budget resorts to be found along with some five star accomodations and everything else in between.
